Children and Youth Services

The Children and Youth Services of CWR recognise the need for specialist services for children and youth who are at risk from the effects of family violence.

CWR has developed a service including early intervention and prevention programmes designed to promote the well being of children and break the intergenerational cycle of domestic violence.

The programmes we offer to children and youth assist the young person to understand what family violence is, who is responsible for that violence, how to keep them safe from violence, and establishing support networks.

Responsible conflict resolution and anger management are also taught. Our programmes run concurrently with a programme available for mothers and include activities designed to promote the confidence, self esteem and safety of young people.
